Dr. Snyder began practicing in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1969.He has published over 100 articles related to contact lenses technology and eye care.
A Maryland resident by birth, Dr. Ron Snyder grew up in Annapolis. After attending the University of Maryland, he graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Optometry Degree. In 1967 he became a commissioned officer in the US Public Health Service serving in the US Public Health Service Hospital in Staten Island, NY and the US Coast Guard base on Governor's Island, NY.
Dr. Snyder is married and has 4 sons and 6 grandchildren. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a member of the American Optometric Association, past President of the Broward County Optometric Association, member and former Trustee of the Florida Optometric Association, and member of the prestigious organization, Society of Contact Lens Specialists.
Dr. Jed G. Beck

Dr. Jed G. Beck is co-owner of Pearle Vision at Saint Andrews Plaza. Dr. Beck is responsible for patient facilitation and care, and specializes in vision health of the elderly.
He graduated from the State University of NY, College of Optometry in 1993 and practiced in a general ophthalmology firm in Teaneck, New Jersey. In November 2003, Dr. Beck joined his brother-in-law Dr. Ronald P. Snyder to open the first elite Pearle Vision Center and ultra-modern eye care facility in Boca Raton, Florida.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, Dr. Beck grew up in Livingston, New Jersey and attended Livingston High School. He received a Bachelor of Science and Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland and is a registered pharmacist in Maryland and New Jersey.
Dr. Beck is married and has 3 children. His daughter is also an Optometrist practicing in New Jersey. Dr. Beck is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, and the Palm Beach County Optometric Association.
Dr. Joyce Salomon
Optometric Physician
Dr. Joyce Salomon has more than 25 years of experience in the areas of general optometry, pediatric optometry and specialized fitting of contact lenses. Dr. Salomon was born in Detroit, Michigan. While pursuing her degree in Child Psychology from the University of Michigan, she was accepted for early admission to the Illinois College of Optometry, where she received both her Bachelor of Science in Visual Science in 1981 and her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1982. After graduation, Dr. Salomon moved to Florida where she began a long, successful association with Pearle Vision. Together with her partner, Dr. Steven Schwitzman, she owned and operated two Pearle Vision locations in Pompano Beach and East Boca Raton.
Dr. Salomon has two daughters. In her free time, she enjoys donating her time and professional expertise to many organizations, including the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, as well as conducting vision screenings at local pre-schools.
Dr. Steven Schwitzman
Optometric Physician
Dr. Steven Schwitzman has over 25 years experience in optometric care. He specializes in complex contact lens fitting. Dr. Schwitzman also has special training in the area of geriatric optometry. He held senior staff optometrist positions at Hampton Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Miami for ten years.
Dr. Schwitzman was born in New York City. He graduated with a Biology degree from Boston University in 1977. He then attended the University of Chicago, where he received a Master's Degree in Physical Science in 1978. There, he studied the effects of light and perception in primary school education. In 1982, he received a Bachelor of Science in Visual Science and Doctorate of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry. After graduation, Dr. Schwitzman moved to Boca Raton and has been in practice since 1983. He has watched this area cultivate into one of the most beautiful cities in America. Dr. Schwitzman has two daughters who are attending the University of Florida. In his spare time, Dr. Schwitzman enjoys the outdoor life south Florida has to offer such as biking, swimming and tennis.
