Dr. Steven Schwitzman
Optometric Physician
Dr. Steven Schwitzman joins the Pearle Vision at St. Andrews with over 25 years experience in optometric care. He specializes in complex contact lens fitting. Dr. Schwitzman also has special training in the area of geriatric optometry. He held senior staff optometrist positions at Hampton Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Miami for ten years.
Dr. Schwitzman was born in New York City. He graduated with a Biology degree from Boston University in 1977. He then attended the University of Chicago, where he received a Master's Degree in Physical Science in 1978. There, he studied the effects of light and perception in primary school education. In 1982, he received a Bachelor of Science in Visual Science and Doctorate of Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry. After graduation , Dr. Schwitzman moved to Boca Raton and has been in practice since 1983. He has watched this area cultivate into one of the most beautiful cities in America. Dr. Schwitzman has two daughters who are attending the University of Florida. In his spare time, Dr. Schwitzman enjoys the outdoor life south Florida has to offer such as: biking, swimming, and tennis.
